Accounting and Bookkeeping Assistant

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented individual to assist with the day-to-day accounting and administrative duties within a CPA firm.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Full cycle accounting, handle taxes, and year end reports
  • Utilize software for word processing, spreadsheets, and in preparing various documents
  • Assist in payroll system and administration
  • Execute basic bookkeeping duties, such as accounts payable and receivable when needed
  • Filing documents and maintaining filing system
  • Carry out other tasks related to accounting, finance, or admin that may be assigned from time to time
  •  

    Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or certification in Accounting, or equivalent
  • One to two years of experience in similar role
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel and other M.S. Office Suite programs
  • Very accurate with keen attention to detail
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks is an asset
